Worthy Of The Love I See

Jun 16, 2020 | Poetry

I did not have a single clue,
What to get you for Father’s Day;
I sat for hours just thinking about,
Your heart in every way.

When I was little I remember,
Piggy-back rides through the zoo,
Hide-n-seek with our family,
And being called your little Yayhoo.

As I got a little older,
You were there to wipe every tear,
Compete with my laughter,
And fill my heart with cheer.

I cannot tell you near enough,
Just how much you mean to me;
There really isn’t a gift out there,
Worthy of the love I see.
