Trust That God’s Got Us

Life has so many ups and downs and no one is immune! Does not matter who we are, everyone has a story, everyone has good experiences, and everyone has bad experiences. I look at Job in The Bible! Oh my! He loved the Lord and the Lord loved him, yet through Job’s trials, he kept his faith.

Sometimes we humans doubt and it is easy to lose faith. I don’t know a single person or family without some kind of issue. Our preachers preach about this and tell us, “ If you think you are alone and you are the only one experiencing trouble, think again! You are not alone and others experience the same kind of troubles!”

They are so right! My challenges in life have been dealing with mentally challenged heads and hearts, family, and my health. But I count myself blessed because I can look at others and see how some have lost loved ones, some have cancer, some deal with drugs or alcohol, some have lost body parts, and the list goes on and on! Poor Job lost his family, his belongings, his farm and home, and everything save his life! I am blessed.

With every challenge I have experienced, I have grown spiritually and I really do have The Lord to thank for that! No one likes going through hardships and pain and I get it! So they are right, no one is alone and God gave examples in His Bible on how to go forward!

In dark times we tend to pine away, forget to seek Him, or even try to depend on our own answers for things, but as He asked Job, “ Who are you to ask Me?” We have to trust Him in all that He does! It’s easier said than done I know! After so many surgeries and health issues, I myself got frustrated and forgot to just let Him do His thing! I want to change things up, I want to control the situations, I want, I want. But in honesty, it is not what I may want but it is ultimately His wants.

We have a worldly pandemic and a wrongful death lately. So many emotions from the prospect of the pandemic being a planned group’s intent to take over, a possible chemical warfare, to just about every imaginable excuse. But, God sees and knows all things. We may not understand what is happening or why it is, but we must trust that God’s got us!

If there are those causing havoc and killing our elderly family members and babies, God is not unaware of it and He promises revenge! We don’t know when, but we must have faith in Him to take control! I can’t tell you how many days I spent hurting from back, neck, foot, ankle, allergies, and more! I failed a lot in just letting Him take control! In fact, I spent many days angry and not understanding why!

In my searching for answers and seeking His truth, the more I understood! He gives us the tools to help us overcome. Letting go and letting Him was and sometimes is a stubborn streak within me. I have learned to just keep going. I get passed an obstacle and another comes about. Physical or mental challenges are a part of who we become.

I cried out a lot to God. I heard someone once say that the reason people like me were hurting was because we weren’t right with God. Oh did that ever fire me up! For one thing, this came from an unbeliever who also did not understand the book of a Job. Another thing was that I was understanding more of what God wanted me to understand. When things like this happen and each individual experiences different life events, some understand quicker. Some don’t understand until later or even not at all. A rift begins.
