God’s word is everlasting,
It calms the heart and soul;
His promise is forever,
And Heaven is my goal.
God’s word is everlasting,
He asks so much of us;
We are expected to do His will,
Without a doubt or fuss!
God’s word is everlasting,
We must follow it to the T;
It will set our lives right,
And set our minds free.
Free to be filled with His love,
To find peace in your heart;
Free to block all worry,
And avert the Devil’s dart!
God’s word is everlasting,
But do you read it at all?
What keeps you from seeking,
Or answering His call?
