If we read through the Old Testament, we see many times when the people of Israel turned from God and in the next generation they were for God. Many bad things happened when the people turned away from Him and then His promises of goodness prevailed when they praised Him. Today we are now experiencing what many in our generations have not when it comes to not following His Word.
In the Old Testament, there were many kings who loved the Lord and who followed everything to the best that they could. They were blessed with many riches and possessions. Then, in the next generation, there would be kings who were evil in the sight of the Lord. The patterns would go back-and-forth from a good king to an evil king. The older generations of today remember how it was to worship on a Sunday and to not work. They remember that Sunday was the Lord’s day and they were to do everything that was righteous in His eyes so that they could get to Heaven.
Yes, there were sinners in those generations, as there are sinners in this generation, but today, it has gotten way out of hand and the Lord’s ways are not taken seriously. It used to be that it was rare when someone divorced, was found to be a homosexual, that there was much human trafficking, and such untrust and dishonesty in our government. Today that is all you hear about, and it seems to be accepted as being normal instead of being of a sinful nature.
So it is no surprise to me that the Lord is getting quite angry with this nation. In the Old Testament when many sinned, God punished with a plague or even as in Numbers, some were swallowed by the earth and killed. Today, God isn’t physically with us in a cloud or pillar of fire as then, but He is spiritually. I myself do not know why this new plague was allowed to exist that we have had since 2019, but it does. Is this the work of mankind? Many truths seem to be leaning in that direction, but why was it allowed? No one knows. What evil is stirring because He is not front and center in our government, in our schools, and in our homes?
I do know that our nation has turned from the olden days of good old Sundays of spending time with family and having time for each other to now a time where no one spends time with each other and everyone does whatever they want on a Sunday except for going to service like they should. Today, people live in this ‘Me’ society where it is all about a person’s feelings instead of concentrating on what God says, or what He wants.
This society today thanks it’s OK to marry someone and turn around and divorce them just because they want to. This society today thinks it’s OK to turn from what God created as a man and a woman into 100+ different types of homosexual people. What was meant in His creation as a man and woman and producing for His kingdom has turned into a man marrying a man and a woman marrying a woman. This is not acceptable in God’s eyes. He says this is an abomination and those who practice such have no part of Heaven.
Those who try to explain God’s word has been shut down when they try to explain because these people who have not been taught His word correctly want to turn back around on those that have been taught and say, “Well, you’re judging me.” But this is truth. God says to judge righteously thus saving the soul from hell. Where are the strong spines and hearts now? The weak are allowed to sin continuously and this is a high price to pay for the soul!
Everyone knows that when there is a weak link, there is a vulnerability and an easy target for the devil. Our country is weak and being pulled into a dark pattern. We are seen as a weak country. We have to stand up and get righteousness built up if we want strength back. Just as the Israelites went on their own without God’s guidance in Numbers 14:40-45, they were not successful in their plight and were driven back. We have to get right with the Lord to bring things back to full circle! This is for every circumstance there is! Do we want our freedoms and His wishes to vanish?
There is no separation of church and state. Some people want to believe this but God created our law system and allowed Kings and rulers due to man’s weaknesses. Leviticus lays out God’s laws from the the beginning. He also says that His laws come first over man’s! Romans 13:1-7 says to be subject to higher powers for there is no power but of God. His ways are to be respected and followed.
The oldest book ever in existence is The Bible. No other book has even come close and why is that? Because it is! Period! He is! Period! Unsure of His expectations, then pick up The Bible and read it front to back. You will find all your answers in it and you will find Him who says to, ‘seek and ye shall find!’ We do have Biblical History playing out but we have to live right and prove we are worthy!
