God’s Perspective On Pride Month

Jun 23, 2026 | Faith, Uncategorized

June is almost over and I have been inundated with so many posts, news channel events of celebrations, and hearing so much about this pride month. Upon reading God‘s word many times over and studying it, I think it’s a good idea to take a look at exactly what God thinks about these kinds of things. We will be held accountable by His word, and if we do not know it, we are in far more danger than we realize. In this article, I would like to share with you God‘s scripture and what He says about homosexuality and pridefulness and any other pronoun created other than man and woman.

In the very beginning in the book of Genesis God created everything. If you take a look around, you see the trees, the seas, the animals, the plants, the atmosphere, the tiniest of cells that there are. You know that man himself could not have created such a beautiful thing. You know also that by the very whim of something dramatic that this whole earth was not just created. No man or weird atmospheric boom could create such brilliance! That’s impossible! God created all things. We go on vacation and we see these wonderful mountains, oceans, structures, canyons, and just magnificent sights! When God created man, He said that man cannot live alone so He also created a helper called a woman, made from the man Adam himself. God told them to be fruitful and multiply and to fill His earth and thus it happened. On this command of His, He told them to multiply and this was His only way to create new life. Between a man and a woman is the only vision He had and still has!

If we boast we are to boast in the Lord. This verse is found in 1 Corinthians 1:31. People tend to focus their lives on others and not put God first. Here, we are instructed to put Him first and be proud of Him! He should be our number one focus and what He wants should be important always first and foremost. In the days of Noah, when there was the flood, He trusted Noah to build His ark because Noah loved the Lord and Noah was obedient. No one around believed, and they were giving themselves into sin and corruption, and God was forced to rid the world of evil, and He did so. So He saved Noah and his family in that arc and when it landed, He set forth His rainbow as a sign and reminder that He would never flood the Earth again. But today, some use the symbol of the rainbow as a sign that it means to be gay, whether that means lesbian, homosexual, or how many other thousand pronouns they have today listing someone that is anything other than the man and woman that God created.

In 2 Peter 3:3-4 and Jude 1:18 it says that in the end times there will be mockers and scoffers. These people who are expressing the rainbow anything other than what God intended is mocking Him. And in the end, every knee will bow to Him, and everyone will be held accountable for what they have done. I have been seeing so many posts with people I know accepting this and going along with the mockers of this world and it breaks my heart. This doesn’t mean that there is not love for everyone because us as Christians know that God says to love above all else and even to love our enemies. That being said, I need to explain very carefully that when God says to love it also means to explain to people gently that the things that they do are wrong so that they change their hearts and souls, and be saved from the depths of hell. It is not hate, but it is love to express God‘s intent for His people. It’s His desire for people to change and live righteously. Discipline is painful but we all learn from it!

We are told in John 7:24 to not judge by appearance but to judge with righteous judgment. This is also found in Matthew 7:3-5. There are many verses in the Bible that talk about judging and a lot of people just use the one verse in the Bible, but you cannot do that. You have to look at the Bible as a whole to understand what He intends. We have to make judgment calls in our lives to understand what is right and what is wrong. That is all there is to it. He tells us to judge righteously. So we have to judge, but when we do, we use it comparing judgement to His word versus the world and what is right and what is wrong.

In 1 Timothy: 1-10 it says that realizing the fact that law is not made for a righteous person, but for those who are lawless and rebellious, for the ungodly and sinners, for the unholy and profane, for those who kill their fathers or mothers, for murderers and immoral men and homosexuals and kidnappers and liars and murderers, and whatever else is contrary to sound teaching. His word is what we are suppose to share to help others come to Christ! We judge to help. In that same chapter in verse six, it says the one who is taught the Word is to share all good things with the one who teaches him. In verse seven it says do not be deceived. In James 5:19-20, it says, “ my brother, if any among you strays from the truth, and one turns him back, let him know that he who turns a sinner from the error of his way will save his soul from death and will cover a multitude of sins.” Think about this a minute. How are we to know if someone is erring in his way? We have to make a judgment call. Yes we do judge but we judge righteously. And also think about this: We hopefully can turn the sinner away to save his soul from death, which means from hell. Wouldn’t you rather save someone from the grasp of the devil and eternal fire and damnnation or not care at all for someone soul?

If we fail to stop someone from sinning and we just stay silent, we are agreeing. In their eyes they see us agreeing with their behavior and we have to really be careful with that because God warns us that we too could be sucked in to bad behavior and we too will be just as guilty. Several verses that say this include Proverbs 22:24-25, 1 Timothy 5:22, and Galatians 6:1. Jude 1:22-23 says, “ and have mercy on some, who are doubting; save others, snatching them out of the fire; and on some have mercy with fear, hating even the garment polluted by the flesh.” Continuing into the next verse, it also says that Jesus is able to keep us from stumbling and to make us stand in the presence of His glory blameless with great joy to the only God our Savior through Jesus Christ, our Lord. The only way to be blameless is to live His way!

To see how many people are going along with this pride month and being proud of what is wrong is really heartbreaking and I do fear for these people because they need to be taught what God expects and change their ways before it’s too late. What I am writing is for the benefit of others and it is what God is saying. I am only His tool on earth and everyone else who is against this pridefulness and against homosexuality, they are not being hateful, but they understand the consequences of what’s gonna happen to these people and it is out of love that they are trying to help them. I grant you there are probably some pretty hateful people out there but most Christians true at heart have someone’s soul in their prayers. They also are praying for those who are supporting the act of what they are doing, and do not understand that God is also going to judge those people for being too acceptant of these behaviors. No one‘s feelings wants to get hurt, but sometimes we do have to hurt to learn, and that includes everyone on this earth.

In those cities of Sodom and Gomorrah in Genesis 19, two angels were sent in that were disguised as men. They went into Lot’s home where the men of the city knocked on his door and they wanted to have sexual relationships with them. God was furious and He ended up destroying those cities because of sexual sin. How much more is He going to destroy this world for the sexual sin that is being committed today? It says in Leviticus 18:22 that you shall not lie with male as you do a woman. In chapter 20:13, those that did were put to death. These people who commit these kind of sins will not inherit the kingdom of God according to 1 Corinthian 6:9-10. But isn’t it up to Christians, God‘s people, to help these people from wrongdoing? It absolutely is because it is our responsibility to spread His word, not being ashamed to, and that is the whole reason and why we are here on this earth. We are not here on this earth just to live and enjoy. There is a purpose and it is either we are going to make it into heaven and stay with Him eternally there or we’re not gonna care for anyone else and we’re gonna be condemned into hell eternally. Plain and simple there are no other options but heaven or hell.

To be proud of being homosexual and to boast about it is going against God. To support it is going against God and it’s very concerning the way this world is turning. God Himself got mad and overturned tables that they were selling things on in His sanctuary so how much more mad is He going to get at this world for going along with sin and agreeing to things like this? Pridefulness is against God‘s wishes. This month of June, Pride Month, that the very elite have won as their pride celebration is a mock of God.

Let’s look at Proverbs 16:18. God says the pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before stumbling. It is better to be humble in spirit with the lowly then to divide the spoil with a proud. Listen to this verse carefully do you honestly want to agree with those who are living against God‘s word? In chapter 11:2 He says that when pride comes, then comes dishonor, but with the humble is wisdom. Dishonor? Yes pridefulness and especially this kind of pridefulness is a dishonor to God. In James 4:6 it says that God is opposed to the proud, but gives grace to the humble. The concept of being prideful was so wrong and mockers of today have taken it a step further, along with His rainbow. They have distorted what is good into something that is bad and too many people are too acceptant of it.

The concept of being prideful, homosexuality, and anything other than God’s plan for us as male and female is not a part of God’s commands. We as humans fail and sin every day. We are not perfect. However, we must strive to live righteously and do what He asks if we want to be a part of His Kingdom. Please do not point your anger at Christians for wanting to save your soul. Yes, we have a lot on our own to confess and change, but we also have a command by God to do our part here on earth. Dive into His Word yourself and let God’s Word pool around your heart because you are worth the chance for Heaven!
