9/11 Remembered

Sep 11, 2021 | Uncategorized

The lives lost 20 years ago,
On that horrific 9/11 morn;
Humbled our hearts and brought,
New meaning to broken and worn.

Tears flowed for those killed,
For those jumping from above;
Eyes burned with anger,
For the loss of those we love.

Emotions sunk to a level,
So low and deep within;
Then rose with His hope,
Of a new strength to begin.

People stood together in love,
Volunteered and went to serve;
Funds were sent to help,
To lessen the expensive curve.

Americans and other countries,
Came together and prayed;
In this crisis so devastating,
Where hearts were left frayed.

Now twenty years later,
We still remember and share;
Memories of that morning,
Of raw emotional scare.

As we came together that morning,
Let us continue to pray,
For our country so divided,
That His love guides the way!
