Rain On My Roses

Jun 10, 2021 | Uncategorized

Rain trickles all morning long,
Light to heavy now and then;
During breaks I venture out,
Toward our old dog pen.

Along the path is my rose garden,
Which is in full bloom;
I stop to smell the aroma,
Of the petal’s sweet perfume.

One smells like a spicy dish,
While another a sweet soap;
The relaxing scents surround me,
And I can sense His living hope.

A hope that fills my heart,
With a peace in the air;
A hope of His love around us,
In a world with little care.

I take my phone out of my pocket,
To capture the beauty I smell;
I want to capture this moment,
Of His promise that all is well.
