Springtime Newness

Apr 28, 2020 | Poetry

My favorite time of the year is Spring –
When brown buds begin to peek;
Green edges grow with a secret –
Of inner beauty that I seek.

The rain dances on the pavement –
Forming lakes within my yard;
Turning grass blades reach for freedom –
As drops beat down very hard.

Trees sway with the wind –
Their pollen swirling in the air;
My itchy eyes and plugged nose –
Seems more than I can bear.

God’s Grace to those who come alive-
I can see through Springtime newness;
A smile forms on my face as blooms –
Unfurl with Love of His trueness.
