Change Only In This World

Dec 16, 2020 | Blog, Faith, Poetry

This world as we know it is changing,
People are distant and live in fear;
God’s command to fellowship and love,
Is what some don’t even want to hear!

You see messages of possible civil unrest,
People fighting and homes are broken;
Businesses going bankrupt,
And vile words of anger spoken.

Products are hard to come by,
Toilet paper going like it’s out of style;
Economic reset is occurring,
Will it last a little time or a long while?

Packages and mail sent two months ago,
Have failed to be delivered or seen;
Hand sanitizer and bleach products,
Are used hourly to keep things clean.

Face masks are mandatory and cover,
Most everyone in public that you see;
One never knows for sure who you’ll meet,
Whether a stranger or friendly face it be!

Fear walks every step in front of us,
Hopefully guiding us down his path;
But the fear should be with the Lord,
Who will someday show His wrath!

God says of those who destroy and lie,
That they have no part of His plan;
The news media and false internet sites,
Will go down in Hades’ fiery span.

But what joy there will be;
For those who follow and believe;
Faith, hope, and everlasting love,
Has never been His heart to deceive!

Job 28:28 says, “And to man He said, ‘Behold, the fear of The Lord, that is wisdom; And to depart from evil is understanding.’”

Now, more than ever, we should all be walking with The Lord. Some believe and some do not. Whatever the case, He is and always will be! The only fear we need to be concerned with is the fear He is going to bestow on this evil world and evil-minded unbelievers.

Matthew 6:26-27 says, “Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow, reap, or store away in barns, and yet your Heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?” If you believe Him, you have no worries. I myself catch myself worrying and this is a great verse to keep in between fear and you!
