We Are In A World Battling Evil

Dec 8, 2020 | Blog, Life, Short Stories

I got some feedback about my story that I posted on Day 99. In my mind I guess I knew what I was talking about but coming from someone reading it, there may be a lot unexplained. I apologize for that and I will try to do better with explaining myself in this post.

There has always been a fight between good and evil, the Lord and the devil, things I want versus need, and things of this nature. It seems like today there is more of a fight that is clearly seen between the Democrat party and the Republican party, but in actuality what I meant was the fight between good and evil.

From the very beginning of time, there has only been those who believe and those who do not believe. There are some that say they believe and truly do not follow up. And, there are those who believe and do follow up with what they know in their heart because God has planted it there and they have grown with His Word.

Let me give you an example. In my opinion and based on facts, many today believe in the killing of an infant right before birth. God specifically says that children are of Heaven and He also says those who harm a child will suffer greatly. There are many who believe in God that also believe this is OK. That being said, in God’s eyes it is completely wrong and they will suffer the consequences for agreeing with it.

Times have completely changed from even several years ago. You can see the downfall of His Word that is being mocked and stomped on. Many have been led to believe that it is OK to be gay for example. According to God this is very bad. He says in the end times that we will see things changing and know that the end is near. He made it clear that no one would exactly know when that time would be not even his son Jesus Christ.

People have excepted all of these things as being OK and right when God’s word completely says it is wrong. Our world is heading in a wrong direction and there are too many fighting for these wrong issues and not standing up for what is right. It concerns me that this world as a whole is adding to it doom!

There is so much worry about everything going on and so many videos sent here and there. Facebook is filled with so many questionable posts. There is so much to listen to and sometimes we ourselves allow those things to worry us and to get us down. My Story Day 99 was in concern for just as these. My worry is for people who are on the wrong path and agree with this doom.

It is good to keep informed with things that are happening around us. That being said, some things are not very good to be watching and listening to. Let me give you example of this: there were several videos that were sent to me that were about something bad really going to happen like within last week. That week came and went and nothing happened.

Nothing came of that video, but many who watched it became worried and upset about it. They were preparing themselves for the worse. Some people know how to play on others feelings and their minds. This is what I mean by the battle between the good and the evil. It is very easy to want to listen to these things and believe them with your whole heart.

It is easy to be sucked in to what others are wanting to convince you of. What I’m saying is that our Lord God is the bigger picture. We must focus on Him only. Our love for Christ and what we do here on this earth for Him, will define who we are in His eyes. And I don’t know about anyone else, but my goal is Heaven.

I know several people who have been talking about the end times right now. They have been worrying about what’s going to happen, what the prophecies have said, and all of these things that has caused worry in their hearts. Honestly, if you don’t have the good Lord in your heart and living it, then you will have unrest in your lives. You will find yourself being sucked into all of these worldly things and pleasures.

If you have never picked up a Bible in your entire life, how will you really know about God, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit? I wrote a short story years ago and in it was our instructions on life and how to live. The Bible is our instructions on how to live. We are just like that product that is ordered from the Internet, it comes disassembled in a box, and we have to put it together to work.

We were created, put together by our Lord, and given instructions to become whole. Those instructions are found in the Bible. If you have not picked up a Bible, how do you know how to live His way? We can sit in the pews and listen to preachers preach to us, but how do we know it is correct unless we ourselves have searched to see if it is true or not? God says to seek and ye shall find. He does not say to just listen and believe what you are told without knowing what someone has told you is factual. Find a preacher who teaches the Bible and shows you His Word for what it is.

I once went to a congregation where there was a pastor in front of us who claimed that Jesus was in our presence in a gray cloud behind us. I turned to look and there was nothing. Why? Because I knew the truth and what His Word said. He said He was not coming back until the end and there was no way His true presence was behind us. God does not work that way and He does not go against his WORD.

We are in a battle between good and evil. As we keep going on in this year of 2020, we keep seeing more and more evil seeping through the cracks and people excepting what he says is wrong. So many family members and so many friends are being sucked into this deception.

In the end, God promises that the devil, evil, will all be thrown into the eternal fire. He says that those listed in that Corinthians verse from that Day 99 post will not be a part of Heaven. Where will they go? There are only two choices and they are both either eternal Heaven or hell. Are you reading His Word to find out what He expects of you? Are you truly saved? Have you accepted Christ into your lives? Serious questions that everyone should be thinking about!
