1 John 2:1-2

“My little children, these things I write to you, that you may not sin. And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the a Father, Jesus Christ the righteous. And He Himself is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours but also for the whole world.”

A few thought here: First, propitiation means the same thing as an Advocate. Jesus is the one and only go between for us to God. Secondly, not only is He the Advocate for us individuals but also for the world. Does the world sin? Sure it does! When groups of sinners are allowed to get by with their sinning, the world accommodates these groups and allows the sinners to continue. We as a world should ask Jesus to go to God on our behalf and ask for forgiveness. This world is a mess and only God can forgive!
