Sunflowers Smiles

Aug 5, 2022 | Uncategorized

Walking to the garden,
My steps quicken in pace;
The anxiety of the day,
Seems like a panicked race.

I leave the worries behind,
Because I know what’s ahead;
Smiles from my sunflowers,
And that should be enough said!

There is something about the sunflower,
That brings life back into the bones;
It lifts the spirits and crashes,
The agony of the day that moans!

My eyes lift as I see its army,
Ready to squash all worries away;
Their smiles are so contagious,
Their brightness conquering gray!

I smile back with successful thanks,
Because they remind me to look up;
They lift their faces to the Son,
And He gently fills my cup!
