With the loss of so many around us,
I am humbled in heart and soul.
Life is so precious and short,
And His Promise will make us whole.
My prayers go up for these families,
And I ask for His comforting love,
To reach down upon them each,
And bring peace from His realms above!
Turn their every tear into a smile,
Sharing their memories all around.
May their hurt be caught up in songs,
And be brought down in mellowing sound.
Hold them as they sleep at night,
Let Your calming whisper be heard.
Gather their thoughts and fears,
And replace them with Your Word:
“For I am your Lord and God,
You are never abandoned or lost.
I will be here for you always,
For you were purchased at a cost.
My love is more than you can understand,
For I, The Lord, will bear your pain.
For I am the Comforter and Rock,
That brings rainbows to your rain.”
